At the beginning of 1995 David Hyner decided that it was time
for a change. At the time he had an extremely successful events
management and catering business based in Birmingham that he
had run for the past 15 years.
David set out on an adventure to create one of the most innovative
and successful research based training companies in the UK.
The idea was simple, David wanted his new company to be based
on factual research and not opinion or dated knowledge. He also
wanted to give a second to none experience to his customers
and unite other training companies together to be able to meet
every need of his customers from basic training to international
event management.
Motivated by the book Think and Grow Rich, by Napolean Hill,
David decided that to achieve his goal he would spend a minimum
of 7 years knocking on every successful persons door he could
to find, to establish how they became so successful.
During that time Stretch have documented countless interviews
with people from all walks of life. From famous sports personalities
to people you will never have heared of. One thing they all
had in common was they had overcome huge odds to achieve their
goals and become successful for very different reasons.
David was then joined by Craig Birch, a Business Consultant
with a major high street bank and between them they continue
to interview some of the most successful people around and Stretch
Development is now a well respected and very busy training company.
The culmination of all this hard work has been the comparison
and documentation of strategies, habits, methods, beliefs, character
traits and behaviors that have been proven time and time again
to contribute to success. Stretch have turned these findings
into many leading training programs which are widely considered
to be invaluable to both individuals and organisations internationally.

people they originally sat down to interview and combine this
with an extensive associate network to put them in a position
